Training Facilities

The Training Centre has a conducive country side environment suitable for learning not to mention the expansive and beautiful tea landscape.

√ To develop and organize an efficient information management system for tea industry through training and production of teaching materials.
√To provide an information forum for students, researchers, farmers, tea service sectors and others.

The TRFK Training facility is committed to providing quality services to both the tea industry and other visitors.

√ Six fully furnished rooms for trainees/visitors each accommodating three persons.
√ An ICT compliant conference /meeting room with a capacity of 100 people for seminars and workshops.
√ A fully furnished catering unit with facilities that can serve over 200 people and for outside catering.

The teaching aids and equipment available are multimedia LCD projector, laptops, overhead, video and slide projectors as well as a public address system which is for hire.

At its Kangaita sub station has an equally well furnished training facility/guest house. The station, located next to KTDA Kangaita Tea Factory in the TRFK district is next to Mt Kenya forest and has the serene cool environment associated with the snow capped mountain, which can be viewed in the early morning hours. Charges are as for the TRFK Training Centre at the headquarters.
