As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, The Tea Research Foundation of Kenya (TRFK) sponsors the Utafiti Primary School.  The school is located within the precincts of the TRFK Headquarters.

The school made a big leap to top the 2009 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations in Kipkelion District.

The Director/CEO of TRFK, Deputy Director and Finance & Administration Manger with trophies won by Utafiti Primary School in the 2009 KCPE.

• Previously (2007 and 2008) the school has produced the best candidates both for boys and girls in the District.
• All candidates from Utafiti Primary School get admission into secondary schools. Some candidates from the school got admission into government sponsored National schools. In last year’s KCPE, only one candidate got below 300 marks. The rest had over 300 marks. The school has rated position 1 in three subjects in the District.  Mathematics, Kiswahili and Science. The school was ranked position 3 in English and position 2 in Social Studies in the District.

The school is headed by Mr. William Okello.

The school’s vision is to be a centre of academic excellence that produces holistic students who will be the future leaders.
